Since graduating law school, Kera has devoted her practice to protecting the rights of employees. She has represented clients in all phases of litigation in various matters related to employment, including discrimination and harassment in the workplace, unequal pay, wrongful discharge, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, and retaliation. Kera has also successfully obtained compensation for employees whose employers have unlawfully held wages, including overtime wages. Kera has presented on the various issues facing employees and employers in the area of wage and hour disputes. In addition, Kera has extensive practice representing labor unions in all aspects, including negotiations, grievance and arbitration proceedings, representation elections and other issues before the National Labor Relations Board.

Kera Paoff graduated cum laude from Carson-Newman College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in French. She attended the University of Toledo, College of Law, and graduated magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 2007. While in law school, she was a member and Executive Editor of the University of Toledo Law Review and worked in the Domestic Violence clinic aiding victims of domestic violence and a shelter housing domestic violence victims. After graduating, Kera worked at a boutique plaintiff’s employment firm in Ohio before moving to Connecticut to work at a similar firm fighting for the rights of individual employees. In February 2013, Kera joined Widman & Franklin and became an Equity Owner in 2020. In 2023, the firm underwent a name change and became Paoff, Robinson & Widman.
